Questions
Free online wedding invitations: answers
Are online wedding invitations acceptable?
Yes, for most UK weddings. Many couples send invitations by WhatsApp or email now, and post printed cards to the few guests who would prefer one.
Is it free to send online wedding invitations?
Yes. Making your invitation page is free for up to 30 guests, and sending the link on WhatsApp, email or text costs nothing.
Can I see who has opened my invitation?
We do not track who opens your link. You see everyone who replies, with how many are coming and their messages, so you know who still needs a nudge.
Can I invite some guests to the evening only?
The free website has one event, so it suits a wedding where everyone comes to everything, or an evening-only invitation on its own. For day and evening guests with separate RSVPs, upgrade to the Wedding Website package, which gives each household its own private link.
Should I send the invitation to a WhatsApp group?
It is better to send it to each guest on their own. Replies, questions and dietary needs then stay private, and nobody feels awkward about saying no.
